Detail:
Successful applicants under this visa can live, work and study within Australia for usually up to 24 months and then you can apply for Permanent Partner Visa when you meet requirements. You can enrol in Australia’s public health care scheme and travel to and from Australia as many times as you want. You may also wish to include family members in your application.
Prospective Marriage Visa
Subclass: 300
Overview:
This visa lets your come to Australia to marry your prospective spouse and then apply for a Partner visa.
Basic Eligibility:
- Be 18 years or older
- Meet health and character requirements
- Intend to marry your spouse before the end of the visa period
Detail:
Successful applicants under this visa stay and work in Australia for 9 months from the date your visa is granted. You may also study within Australia at your own expense and can travel to and from Australia as many times as you wish. You may also include members of the family unit in your application when you apply.
Parent Visa Options
Subclasses: 804, 103, 173, 143, 864, 884
Overview:
There are a range of Parent visa options including new temporary options from November 2017. Basic Eligibility:
- Must hold a Partner Provisional Visa (subclass 309) or
- A Dependent Child Visa (subclass 445) or

- Meet health and character requirements
- Have health insurance
- Have enough funds to support yourself during your stay
- Have a genuine intention to only stay temporarily

Successful applicants under this visa stay within Australia on a temporary basis only for up to 3 or 5 years per visa. You can not work in Australia while on this visa and this visa does not lead to permanent residency.
